As discussed on IRC at some time ago - should this be closed as invalid until a decision is made upstream?

I dont know what this key does and no-one has told me. I dont have two monitors to test.

If someone who know more about this (alexl for example) would tell me what to do here, or perhaps you could summarize the IRC conversation, then I will close this bug appropriately.

When this key is true, the workspace is just on the primatry display. So windows placed on any other monitor are not mapped to worskspaces and stick to that monitor all the time.
Somehow described here: https://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/DesignerPlayground/MultipleMonitors#Monitors_are_a_single_big_screen

AIUI alexl said this feature is not complete not working.

Can you (Fabian) please confirm it works for you

Can you also please ask alexl for clarification?

This works partially. If enabled (and doing a login-logout-cycle) all monitors
behave like a single workspace. A problem is related to the thumbnails in the
workspace list: they are just previewing the primary monitor.

Please file a bug about this.

I will enable advanced tweaks. I don't like enabling broken features.

There is already a bug for this: bug #609258 .
Also others requesting this feature e.g. bug #652580 and bug #645581

Thanks. I added these as blockers. I will enable the switch when it works.
