Description Jens Georg 2011-03-29 12:36:51 UTC
gnome-ev.de seems to be hijacked by some insurance sales agent.

I suggest to remove all links on gnome websites (at least press contacts mentions it) until that issue is sorted out (if ever).

Fixed http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnomeweb-wml/commit/?id=af226c575dd8ff1d666334ccd9459b9d6063eccb but that won't have any influence on gnome.org due to bug 648355.
Comment 2 Andreas Nilsson 2011-06-09 17:09:26 UTC
So we currently don't have a page similar to this on the new site. Should we create one, how up to date was the old one?
Comment 3 Andreas Nilsson 2011-06-09 17:10:11 UTC
So as we don't have any links to gnome-ev.de on the new gnome.org, is it safe for me to close this bug?

Errm, who on earth could comment that, knowing all of the IRC channels and
websites of all of the local or national user groups? ;)

(In reply to comment #3)

grep'ed for "gnome-ev.de" on the new gnome.org?
If so just close as OBSOLETE I'd say.

So I think the banners are gone. But http://www.gnome.org/friends/ still has:

Help us make 2012 the Year of Accessibility at GNOME!

GNOME 2 was an award winning accessible free desktop environment. With GNOME 3, we have started down an exciting new path in terms of usability, which will include users of all ages and abilities. Donate $25 or more today to help us reach our goals, and ask your friends to donate too.

I think that needs to be reqorded at some stage.
Comment 6 Tobias Mueller 2012-11-18 16:01:09 UTC
sorry. wrong bug *blush*
Comment 7 Tobias Mueller 2012-11-18 16:03:11 UTC
Closing as OBSOLETE as per comment #4.

FWIW: Yeah, being able to grep through the site would have been nice *sigh*
