Description jean.daniel.michaud 2011-03-26 10:14:19 UTC
When right click on a text box, there is no option to edit it. The only way is to use F2, which is not user friendly. To improve user experience, add an item in the right menu or allow editing by double clicking the text box.

This is not a bug, but an enhancement request. I'm adjusting the title and severity accordingly. Also it is not true the text edit mode can only be entered by F2 - there is Enter, long enough holding of left mouse button and the dedicated text edit mode button in the toolbox as well as menu entry "Tools/Edit Text".

I've added a patch above to add an "Edit Text" item to the object menu. I've also attached a video demo below it.

NOTE: The only problem is when you have multiple objects selected, then use the menu item, it edits the text of the first selected item - not necessarily the one you right-clicked on.
