It seems that g-c-c is designed to be non-resizeable, not remember its window size and position, and automatically fit in a 1024x768 screen + the height of the gnome shell top bar.

The problem is that it sometimes incorrectly sets its position (the window is positionned too low and part of it is offscreen).

I think one of the ways to trigger this bug (if I recall correctly) is to start one of the setting panels first and then click the "All settings" button.

Ideally it should always check the available space on the screen and try to fit in this space.
