Description Andres Gomez 2011-03-15 16:39:03 UTC
Just installed frogr 0.4 in Ubuntu Maverick.

Right now, there is no other way of using GNOME general proxy.

Only option is to set them manually in the "Preferences" dialog.

If this manual setting is to be kept, at least there should be the chance to use the general settings alternatively to use the custom or not use proxy at all.

A good example of this is how Firefox version for GNOME works.

I personally would like to keep the option to manually set the proxy settings without using the general settings (so it works in other desktops other than GNOME) but I certainly don't see any problem using GNOME general proxy settings when running in that environment (conditional compilation flags), or just following the lead of firefox and allowing using "Automatic proxy settings".

Thanks for reporting!
