GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 644830
Sidebar is very wide
Last modified: 2011-03-16 10:40:37 UTC
In the call window, displaying the sidebar can end up being very wide with lots of unused space. In talking to Sjoerd, he thinks the codec string is pushing it out. I also noticed that if you close the call window with the sidebar displayed, the next call window opened ends up being the same size but without the sidebar displayed. So it is saving the window size/position based on the sidebar being displayed even though it is hidden by default.

I fixed this in: http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=user/cassidy/empathy;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/call-details-644830 http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=user/cassidy/empathy;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/call-details-644830-2.34 > I also noticed that if you close the call window with the sidebar displayed, > the next call window opened ends up being the same size but without the sidebar > displayed. requier -> require (both in code and commit message). Not sure if I prefer a scrolled window or making the various labels ellipsizable (new word!), but this is alright, so r+ if you prefer this option.

Ooops fixed. > Not sure if I prefer a scrolled window or making the various labels > ellipsizable (new word!), but this is alright, so r+ if you prefer this option. I tried that first and Xavier and I agreed that the scrolled window looks better. Merged to both branches; thanks! This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
