GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 644612
Visual Studio 2010 Compatibility
Last modified: 2020-03-17 09:20:03 UTC
It would be nice to update the Banshee solution for compatibility with VisualStudio 2010, but I am not sure how this will affect other IDEs. I know that the solution file itself is incompatible with older versions, but I believe the project files are compatible. I do not believe MonoDevelop is affected either way, but I am not sure. I also do not know about other IDEs. I will attach two patches, one for the Banshee solution and one for Hyena. If someone could please apply these and test in various other IDEs, hopefully we can get a solution (pun intended?) that works for everyone.

I am fine with just supporting MD 2.4+ (on Linux + Windows) and VS.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
