Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug.

While looking for a duplicate of this bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/717971) in bgo, I found this one, so I guess he is referring to the missing text entry in the capplet for passwords.

Indeed, when looking at the code (http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/tree/capplet/settings/mail-account-view.c line # 1078), I found it sets the visibility of the password GtkEntry to FALSE and it seems it never sets is to TRUE, so why is this so?

Attaching a patch to remove the gtk_widget_set_visibility call

Sorry, not attaching the patch yet as the simple one I thought would fix it doesn't fix it, so still working on it
Comment 4 Rodrigo Moya 2011-03-28 10:54:17 UTC
I found out this was a bug in one of the Ubuntu package patches, so if Marco confirms he is using Ubuntu, I think this can be closed

Marco, can you please tell us if you use Ubuntu distribution ?
