GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 644555
background transparency doesn't work with gnome-shell
Last modified: 2011-03-12 18:00:10 UTC
gnome-terminal 2.33.90 When I set background transparency, it doesn't work in gnome-shell normally, but it does work in overview mode.
It actually works, technically. But all you get when you look through the terminal window is a view of the black shadow that the shell puts around and behind it :-(
So it's a bug in the shell. Compiz also does window shadows, but only around the window, not behind it. The shell should do the same thing.
