Translation context patches

Created attachment 183148 [details] Cumulative patch The following patches are about to be reverted due to... 1. They don't work with the glib we require. 2. They disrupt existing translations in a stable series. 3. No response from committer. We can reconsider when we branch for 1.11 Patch generated thus: git diff 926c1790e610e79e850b237837c791dcb6e0b9cb..56e4b16547314400d0242a73598018af292e1a9a >~/rrr git diff 0eaf9a68781b265d4bdb0cb7b96f0d829cc06370..269fd072514ae341ea53252510839a2ddf63f30a >>~/rrr
Witch glib version require? I test with glib 2.26.1. Context for "None", "Rows" and "Columns" is required for Slavic languages. E.g. I'm not able to finis translation to Czech correctly without it: none (underline) = žádnÉ (podržení) none (function) = žádnÁ (funkce) none (expression) = žádnÝ (výraz) It would look like trivial for English and similar speaker, but that sounds wrong for Czech native speaker. Gnumeric has too little completed translations. Completed translations has very active translation teams and a correction is trivial from the existing fuzzy message. It's my position as the translator. The developer may see it differently, of course.
The stable branch actually requests 2.16 (because goffice needs gobject and gio >= 2.16). Your patch needs at least 2.18. We agree that this is a bug, but it can't be fixed until we branch.
Thanks for the explanation. And when a new version planned?
Marek, could you provide a new patch? We are now requiring glib 2.28 so there is a good chance that it could make it in at this time.
I have committed an adjusted patch. This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
