I know we're all talking about the "GNOME 3 experience" these days, but surely the hardware won't be running an experience but some the software, not so? ;-)

Unfortunately GNOME 3 failed to start properly and started in the <i>fallback mode</i>.

This most likely means your graphics hardware is not capable to run the full GNOME 3 experience

what about
"... not capable to run GNOME 3 with all features enabled."
"... not capable of displaying the full GNOME 3 experience."

(also note the missing full stop)

Just an idea. I couldn't translate it literally anyway.
