Description Gérard B4 2011-03-09 16:30:22 UTC
When setting timing limitation for session or browsing for a user, it simply does nothing more than a pop-up window saying how much time is remaining, but nothing blocks that user at end of allowed time.

Problem seen with Nanny 2.29.4-0ubuntu1 , on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS together with
Firefox 3.6.15 , bot other french users have also reported similar problem on http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=416280
Comment 1 Gérard B4 2011-03-09 16:47:07 UTC
Additionnal info if it might help: I also have the firewall UFW (and its interface GUFW) running on my PC. Could it be that it would interfere with Nanny?
I have copied the resulting iptables in http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=416280&p=2 if this might help bug investigation.

I have the same problem with version 2.31.1. The UI allows me to add time limits but they are never enforced - either for using the machine or for web browsing. Also blacklist has no effect at all.
Comment 3 Vincent 2011-06-17 19:43:12 UTC
Same problem with version : 2.31.1-0ubuntu4 on Ubuntu 11.04.
How is it possible that this bug is not confirmed?
Comment 4 Vincent 2011-06-17 20:13:54 UTC
As a workaround, Timekpr works like a charm on Ubuntu, see https://launchpad.net/~timekpr-maintainers
Comment 5 Clemente Aguiar 2012-04-29 12:30:12 UTC
I have the same problem, i.e. time limit is not enforced.
Running Gentoo AMD64.
