Description Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre 2011-03-03 16:37:44 UTC
From downstream bug report at : https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/modemmanager/+bug/700316

It seems like there may be further usb to serial devices which should probably be blacklisted from modemmanager:

ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP210x Composite Device
ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port
ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter
Comment 1 Dan Williams 2011-04-11 23:35:27 UTC
If you can put together a patch I'll push it, otherwise it might be a bit...
Comment 2 Felix Möller 2011-06-16 12:23:49 UTC
Looking at the report these devices have to be added to:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/ModemManager/ModemManager/tree/src/77-mm-usb-device-blacklist.rules I think.

extra usb blacklisted devices

Patch to add the listed devices to the blacklist.
Comment 4 Felix Möller 2012-09-17 10:48:42 UTC
Dan, can you push this? The devices are not added as far as I can see.
Comment 5 Aleksander Morgado 2013-04-01 14:39:33 UTC
Pushed to git master to the 'greylist' of serial<->USB adapters, see commit 4fe5b3e42c50cadca0cb5606e7142a22f7449049.
