Description William Jon McCann 2011-02-24 20:13:19 UTC
In GNOME 3 all top level windows must be associated with an application. Currently the keyring agent prompts show up as gnome-keyring-prompt in the GNOME 3 AppMenu.

The way to fix this in the short term is to install a desktop file with a reasonable Name and Icon. Longer term we'll want these dialogs to be presented by the shell in shell style.

http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/ApplicationBased has some details about app tracking.

As for what app name to use... OS X seems to use "Keychain Access" which seems decent enough.

[Removing GNOME3.0 target as decided in release-team meeting on March 03, 2011.
This report has an "important" categorisation for GNOME3.0 but is not considered a hard blocker. For querying use the corresponding whiteboard entry added.]

Bummer, I missed this and it has a string change. Requesting a break of string freeze.
Comment 4 William Jon McCann 2011-03-08 18:45:36 UTC
You don't need a break if you reroll the last tarball with this one change. :)
Comment 5 Stef Walter 2011-03-08 18:52:39 UTC
Heh. I've sworn off being a BMFH.
Comment 6 William Jon McCann 2011-03-08 18:54:45 UTC
No, but really it would be very good to get this into the latest snapshots this week.
Comment 7 Stef Walter 2011-03-08 21:06:54 UTC
Got the go ahead from the i18n guys, merged with master, will do another release soon.
