Description rockonthemoonfm 2011-02-22 16:52:55 UTC
It could be cool to see this implementation, it make sense to have it embedded and available in the default setup of gnome programs to users.

There's also an ad-hoc program out here, Photostory http://launchpad.net/photostory

thanks

What is this about? Can you elaborate please?
Comment 2 rockonthemoonfm 2011-10-13 09:30:48 UTC
yes :) ..thinking about the joyous role of cheese, about red clown noses and green hulk features..

could be nice to have kind of daemon to display everyday a resident message notification to remind you to take your portrait of the day (if cheese is installed and this feature enabled, off course).
Let's say, after a year you can see how you changed, periods of happiness of unhappiness marked on your face. Things that are not easy to remark day to day.
All this pictures should go into a specific folder under ~/Pictures and be named by date, to be showed in sequence by an image viewer.

Should be really cool to also add a way with gstreamer to make all these pictures in movement in one video file.

For reference, this is a (buggy) app http://launchpad.net/photostory
and this is a result http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO7uuY_X52Q

josephk: Why did you close this as OBSOLETE?
Sounds like a totally valid request.
