GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 642327
can not re-connect to bluetooth phone after disconnection
Last modified: 2011-02-17 22:54:59 UTC
The option in the preferences window is naturally checked. But the the gpm would not re-connect after phone disconnects. I have to restart the app.
How do you disconnect the phone? My phones reconnect both when I go out of range and come back and when I turn Bluetooth off and on from phone's menu. Can you show the --debug output? See http://live.gnome.org/PhoneManager for instructions.
Created attachment 181128 [details] g-p-m log Well, mine reconnects only if you come back into range after about 15 seconds of the loss of signal. After that, there is no more activity. In the attached log, you can see at the bottom that it tries (this is like after 10-15 seconds of disconnection) once, but when fails, it never tries again.
The program tries to reconnect every 20 seconds. If you waited 20 secs or more, try to use gdb to look where it is waiting, see instructions in a similar bug report https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495278#c11

Do you plan to make a new release any time soon? On the other hand, I am kinda put off by the fact that my nokia E63 wont support new sms notifications with gnokii and all I can do is to send sms using g-p-m...
My bad, I thought that 0.65 contained the fix. New release will be available next week. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 495278 ***
