GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 641124
Crash when entering a fixed aspect ratio for selction
Last modified: 2011-02-28 23:01:01 UTC
Open Gimp 2.6.11 Load an image. Use the ractangle select tool and draw a rectangle. In the options, turn on Fixed Aspect Ratio. Enter something and press e.g. tab to activate the ratio. Gimp crashes. This did not happen with version 2.9 (I think).
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it. Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Fabio: Are there steps for MS Windows on the website you just linked to?
Don't know how to do it on Windows XP. Just checked the 2.7.1 development version and the bug is still there. I also tested some older version: 2.7.1 - crash 2.6.11 - crash 2.6.10 - crash 2.6.9 - crash 2.6.8 - crash 2.6.7 - OK <- last working version Since then I always kept the 2.6.7 version, since I often use gimp to crop photos, and of course I want to set the ratio there... :-(
Cannot reporduce this on the master git repo of gimp. Any more details missed for reproducing? Greez
