msgid "Enter password for %s (user %s)" msgstr "Zadajte heslo pre %s (používateľ %s)"
location of appointment of file? #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-notify.ui.h:3 #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-queue.c:1598 #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-queue.c:1604 #: ../plugins/itip-formatter/itip-view.c:1044 msgid "Location:" msgstr "Miesto:"

One issue per bug # please.
(In reply to comment #0) > With what string is %s replaced? > msgid "Click to mail %s" Well, which options come to your mind? Same for "Click to call %s"... (In reply to comment #1) > msgid "Enter password for %s (user %s)" Fixed: http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/commit/?id=dc94b1067eda911a0670d31bef996297af2db92c (In reply to comment #2) > location of appointment of file? > #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-notify.ui.h:3 > #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-queue.c:1598 > #: ../calendar/gui/alarm-notify/alarm-queue.c:1604 > #: ../plugins/itip-formatter/itip-view.c:1044 > msgid "Location:" Location of the meeting. Person organizing the meeting. How to add translator comments to XML? (In reply to comment #4) > we need plural forms Impossible as these are UI files.
NEEDINFO as per last comment.
Pavol, ping, any update from your side ?
"Well, which options come to your mind? Same for "Click to call %s"..." so %s is username, or email address? "Location of the meeting. How do the terms differ in your language?" Location of the meeting is "miesto" location of file is "umiestnenie" why is plural forms impossible?
(In reply to comment #10) > Same for "Click to call %s"..." > so %s is username, or email address? Hmm, good question. I looked at the code and I have no idea what "camel_address_format (CAMEL_ADDRESS (address))" returns... > "Location of the meeting. > How do the terms differ in your language?" > Location of the meeting is "miesto" > location of file is "umiestnenie" I see. It's the place where the meeting takes place. It did not come to my mind to consider a meeting a file though. :) > > why is plural forms impossible? They are UI files, like a settings dialog. How should this work...?
where is this string used? #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/comp-editor.c:1156 msgid "Pu_blic"
also please add plural forms for this #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/recurrence-page.c:1419 msgid "occurrences"
and for this as well #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/recurrence-page.ui.h:1 msgid "Every"
please split this strings, as we can have different translations in each case also please add context for strings #: ../calendar/gui/e-cal-list-view.etspec.h:2 #: ../calendar/gui/e-calendar-table.etspec.h:7 #: ../calendar/gui/e-memo-table.etspec.h:3 #: ../plugins/save-calendar/csv-format.c:368 msgid "Created"
needed context for this #: ../calendar/gui/e-cal-model.c:1525 msgid "Assigned"
(In reply to comment #12) > where is this string used? > #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/comp-editor.c:1156 > msgid "Pu_blic" New > Appointment > Options > Classification
(In reply to comment #13) > also please add plural forms for this > #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/recurrence-page.c:1419 > msgid "occurrences" New > Appointment > Options > Recurrence. Could be changed to "occurrence(s)" after branching, but no idea if it is technically possible (and feasible) to support plural forms here.
(In reply to comment #14) > and for this as well > #: ../calendar/gui/dialogs/recurrence-page.ui.h:1 > msgid "Every" So what is the plural form of "Every", please?
(In reply to comment #15) > please split this strings, as we can have different translations in each case > also please add context for strings > > #: ../calendar/gui/e-cal-list-view.etspec.h:2 > #: ../calendar/gui/e-calendar-table.etspec.h:7 > #: ../calendar/gui/e-memo-table.etspec.h:3 > #: ../plugins/save-calendar/csv-format.c:368 > msgid "Created" Can you explain how the string differs in each case? If that's really needed, why isn't it also needed for "Last modified"?
(In reply to comment #19) yes, bacuase for example Every 2 days (Kazde 2 den) Every 1 day (Kazdy 1 den) (In reply to comment #20) yes, I forgot last modified, it is bad idea to haven't splited strings translation depends on following word so: "Created car" => "Vytvorene auto" "Created woman" => "Vytvorena zena"
(In reply to comment #21) > Every 2 days (Kazde 2 den) > Every 1 day (Kazdy 1 den) Impossible to fix technically. > (In reply to comment #20) > yes, I forgot last modified, it is bad idea to haven't splited strings > "Created car" => "Vytvorene auto" > "Created woman" => "Vytvorena zena" Wrong assumption - There are NO strings splitted here, why do you think so?
holy crap "Wrong assumption - There are NO strings splitted here, why do you think so?" there is string used, it is 4 times, so we could have 4 different translation, but we can have only one, because, it is not splitted to 4 msgstr #: ../calendar/gui/e-cal-list-view.etspec.h:2 #: ../calendar/gui/e-calendar-table.etspec.h:7 #: ../calendar/gui/e-memo-table.etspec.h:3 #: ../plugins/save-calendar/csv-format.c:368
Ah, we misunderstood and I got you wrong. No need for your strong wording though. To me split strings mean this: http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Never%20split%20sentences Please use the word "translation context" instead of talking about "splitting": https://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Translation%20contexts
I am sorry I got you thanks for patience
please, add translation context to this #. we changed user, thus reset the chosen calendar combo too, because #. other user means other calendars subscribed #: ../mail/e-mail-reader.c:3379 ../mail/mail-config.ui.h:31 #: ../plugins/google-account-setup/google-source.c:304 #: ../plugins/google-account-setup/google-source.c:538 #: ../plugins/google-account-setup/google-source.c:674 #: ../widgets/misc/e-account-tree-view.c:249 msgid "Default" msgstr "Predvolený"
what this string means? #: ../calendar/gui/ea-day-view-main-item.c:308 #: ../calendar/gui/ea-week-view-main-item.c:340 msgid "a table to view and select the current time range"
context for this #: ../calendar/gui/print.c:3001 msgid " to " #: ../calendar/gui/print.c:3011 msgid " (Completed "
(In reply to comment #27) > what this string means? > msgid "a table to view and select the current time range" I really don't know how to put this into better words. What is unclear?
(In reply to comment #28) > #: ../calendar/gui/print.c:3001 > msgid " to " > #: ../calendar/gui/print.c:3011 > msgid " (Completed " http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/commit/?id=72cd94b39ab6983d0a0c03826014a4089b05ca3f http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/commit/?h=gnome-3-0&id=7b1930b288e138493ad1cf1c7c4ea5f61a9f8b38
(In reply to comment #29) > (In reply to comment #27) > > what this string means? > > msgid "a table to view and select the current time range" > > I really don't know how to put this into better words. What is unclear? is this mean, that table will be shown and range will be selected it this table?
That's how I read it, yes. I haven't checked Evolution's usage of the string though.
So I've lost track what is still left to do. Adding it in one comment would be helpful. Please clarify.
=> NEEDINFO as this is unfixable due to the amount of comments and different issues and keeping track of those. See comment 33. (In reply to comment #10) > "Well, which options come to your mind? > Same for "Click to call %s"..." > > so %s is username, or email address? Three occurences with different meanings: %s is twice an email address, and once a contact's name.
Pavol, do you any interest in unfolding this bug report and chasing up, what's left to do? Otherwise I guess we will close it.
no really, I stopped translating this module a long ago
