If you have one of DVDs that jump to the title and start playing movie right after you insert the dvd, totem will freeze and won't play your disc.

I tested these DVDs with windows media player and DVD deck units, they work fine without a problem. However resindvd seems to have problems with such discs.

Presumably the fast start code.
While not a fix, you should be able to play those DVDs by having the environment variable DVDFASTSTART set to 0.
