When using dasher in direct mode (using dasher -a direct ) to input into GIMP dasher segfaulted in under a minute. Several days ago it segfaulted while in the same mode to input to irssi in terminal.

I did compare the stacktraces, and they are different. I do not know enough to determine if the two bugs were the same.

I can not reproduce this issue using Ubuntu 10.10, with System -> Preferences -> Assistive Technologies -> Enable assistive technologies checked. Hopefully, we can get some more information from the original reporter, who uses dasher on a continuous basis.

Direct mode in git-head has been revamped - could try it out please and let us know how it goes?
