Please see page 3 of the attached PDF file, and look at the first paragraph (after "1. Xenon Flash Lamp").

If I select this paragraph text by clicking at the start of the paragraph, then dragging the mouse to the end and releasing the click, everything is OK - the paragraph is highlighted as expected.

If I select this paragraph text by clicking at the END of the paragraph, then dragging the mouse to the start and releasing the click, some text to the right of the path of the cursor movement disappears. Something is wrong.

I've attached a screenshot for both cases.

Oddly, pressing the PrintScreen button refreshes the text and I can't use it to take a picture of the bad selection!

So I've used a digital camera.

Perhaps some sort of screen refresh is missing?

This happens with and without compiz, on a system with an Intel graphics chipset.

It's a known poppler issue that was fixed yesterday, see:
