Description Philipp Weissenbacher 2011-01-19 19:50:37 UTC
I observe the following behaviour only with some titles in my music library. It is always reproducible.

1. I am in "Music" view
2. I double-click an entry to make it play;
3. Banshee switches to "Now Playing" view

Log is attached.

Real debug log

As requested.
Comment 4 David Nielsen 2011-01-19 22:08:08 UTC
Does this happen with a specific song or is the effect random. If you have a song that can reproduce this it would be helpful if you could provide it. If needed this can be done in private with one of our developers.
Comment 5 Philipp Weissenbacher 2011-02-09 11:54:29 UTC
I observed this behaviour now for a while and I found three music files where this happens.
Who can I send the files to?
Comment 6 David Nielsen 2011-04-15 14:40:47 UTC
Philipp send me a couple of test files. However I am not able to reproduce the issue.
Comment 7 Dave Wales 2011-05-26 09:11:22 UTC
Are they mp4 music files? From an outsider it seems that banshee may be trying to open the stream as a video which is why it switches to now playing, just an idea.
Comment 8 David Nielsen 2011-05-26 12:25:27 UTC
The test files I got were mp3s but I have yet been unable to reproduce the issue on any of my machines.
Comment 9 André Klapper 2020-03-17 09:01:04 UTC
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
