GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 639649
Some strings in orca --help generated output partialy wrong, or not marked for translation
Last modified: 2012-05-21 23:57:25 UTC
Dear Developers, When I ran orca --help in gnome-terminal, and looked Orca help output, I see following problems: For example the -i, --import-profile option generated help text only the option text marked for translation, but for example the filename text is not. In hungarian language, we spokening filename text with "fájl név" text. An another example, following string is not marked for translation: "WARNING: suspending Orca, e.g. by pressing Control-Z, from an AT-SPI enabled shell (such as gnome-terminal), can also suspend the desktop until Orca is killed." I will be doing a patch with fix this bug. Attila
Created attachment 178430 [details] [review] Fix patch with resolving the translation related problems in Orca --help output This patch fixs all problems with I reported, if the patch is good, please commit. For example the following string is oldest time marked for translation, only need adding a translation markup: "WARNING: suspending Orca, e.g. by pressing Control-Z, from an AT-SPI enabled shell (such as gnome-terminal), can also suspend the desktop until Orca is killed." Attila
This is really outdated in terms of what the strings are, where they are, and so on and so forth. Sorry about that! Regardless, as part of the argparse related refactoring and some other cleanup, these should all be marked for translation now.
