Originally reported at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/626879

Using Evolution some short keys are very useful. As for an example the Ctr-Shift-M for a new message to compose, or Ctr-Shift-A for creating a new appointment.
The creation of the new message works always. It also works, if you're in the Mail section of Evolution.
But if you're in the Calender, you will not be able to make a new appointment through Ctr-Shift-A.
Of course Ctr-N does ist thou, but that behavior doesn't make any sense to me.

It would be useful, if the Ctr-Shift-? short keys work throughout the whole program.

Can't confirm. Ctrl+Shift+A works fine for me from any view with Evolution 2.91.

In that case it's probably been fixed somewhere between 2.30 and 2.91. Closing report accordingly.
