GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 639542
tracker-needle doesn't support any argument
Last modified: 2011-01-20 11:55:46 UTC
It'd be great to be able to type "tracker-needle SEARCH-THIS" and get results for SEARCH-THIS :-)
Created attachment 178561 [details] [review] First baby steps in vala: Add described feature This is my first step in vala, trying to add the feature described in this bug. SLAB for example can launch "tracker-needle THIS SEARCH ITEM", which now triggers needle to directly launch a search for THIS SEARCH ITEM. Please review the patch and let me know, if and how i can fix it up.
Thank you for the patch. I have adjusted the commit to use GOption. I had to learn how to do this in Vala too ;) commit 533094b33ca131268840163ee9dfc8ec74ee33f8 Author: Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> Date: Thu Jan 20 11:54:17 2011 +0000 tracker-needle: Support command line arguments -V and search criteria Fixes GB#639542, tracker-needle doesn't support any argument This problem has been fixed in the development version.
