GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 639328
telepathyClient: Don't time out when typing a message.
Last modified: 2011-01-13 20:09:48 UTC
When typing in the telepathy client, it is possible for the message to time out. This is annoying, and makes replying from the message tray pretty much useless.

Flagging this ui-review because I don't know how this should work (I came back to my machine this morning to find two chats that were waiting because they never timed out).
The timeout for the banner should be extended when actively typing. Perhaps something like two minutes after the last character is entered. That should be plenty long enough to finish a message when you actually are and to timeout when you really aren't.

I think the problem you are describing should no longer happen with the patch in bug 629557. Can you please test that?
