Description Omer Akram 2011-01-08 09:26:07 UTC
search does not work when in meego mode, I can type keywords but nothing changes. the issue also happened in the last stable version in Maverick too.

originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/677922

Search works for me on git master in meego.

[1 Debug 12:39:15.664] Growing surface cache for 90px images to 2,72 MiB (88 items

Can you try obtaining a debug log (adjust to also have --client=MeeGo to launch the MeeGo client).

http://live.gnome.org/Banshee/CommonQuestions/Logs

I suspect if the search is not being applied then a line similar to the above would not appear.

starting banshee --client=Meego does not start anything

om26er@om26er-netbook:~$ banshee --client=Meego

Though I can switch to meego mode from the main interface, I am using the banshee daily ppa on Natty
Comment 3 David Nielsen 2011-01-08 11:48:25 UTC
I think it is --client=MeeGo not Meego
Comment 4 Omer Akram 2011-01-08 11:50:53 UTC
hmm, it turns out search works when banshee is started with banshee --client=MeeGo and does not work when i switch from normal mode to meego mode by clicking on the icon in the interface.
Comment 5 David Nielsen 2011-01-08 12:03:00 UTC
That feature is an Ubuntu specific change to Banshee which is not supported by us. It is up to them to fix it.

Inclusion for it is tracked here:
