Philips Gogear sa60xx doesn't sync

When mp3 is plugged in, banshee freezes then i have to force quit. Banshee only showed it the first time i plugged the mp3 then every other time it doesn't see it nor synchronize songs or videos to it. It cannot read the music files are already in it. Mp3 is 8GB, red, model is sa60xx, version 2.15.1 Banshee version is 1.8.0
Very likely this is because Media-player-info does not have a profile for your model. Please see: http://ernstfamily.ch/jonathan/2010/10/help-me-make-your-music-player-or-phone-recognized-as-such-under-linux/
@joi Please send me the informations requested in the post David Nielsen linked and I'll have a look at it (that is if your player has a mass storage mode because some GoGear only have MTP and in this case I won't be able to help).

Hmm this is the same ID as the MTP mode for this player. Could you please : copy paste the last lines of dmesg when you plug in this player in its current mode and let me know if the player has two USB modes in the settings (mass storage/msc and windows sync/mtp). Thanks

Nothing that I can do on my side of things unfortunately as it seems your player is using the MTP protocol. In the future please attach logs, they are a bit bi for read inline in the report. Regardless the mtp extension is loaded but nothing at all is detected not even a warning or error. That is curious. It only mounted the mp3 device the first time that i plugged it in the computer but couldn't sync then crashed but every other times i saw nothing at all.

Actually that is a database debug log but it contains all the information we need. I assume the issue is still present as the device does not show up in the log so far as I can tell.

However, banshee still does not find it when I open banshee 2.0.0. When I follow option B instructions, running mtp-detect returns: -------------- libmtp version: 1.0.6 Listing raw device(s) No raw devices found. -------------- So, I installed mtpfs (apt-get install mtpfs). Still no luck. Do you have an suggestions on what I can do to my system or device to have banshee recognise it? Thanks. Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality.
