Description techtonik 2011-01-07 21:36:41 UTC
Files like http://support.freenas.org/browser/freenas/img/cdlabel.psd can not be opened by GIMP. Would be nice to see this changed.

I would have to agree. I'm currently taking a computer graphics design course, in which most of the work is made to be printed, thus using CMYK color system. Photoshop is available on the computers connected to the school network, but when I need to work on a project outside of class, I can't, due to it not being supported in GIMP. I'm not able to get my hands on a copy of Photoshop, given it's ridiculously high price, so my only option is to go back to the class after I'm done with my other classes. I've been using GIMP for web design, but for my current class, I am required to work on assignments in CMYK. Anyway, the point is that changing to color systems other than RGB is essential, especially for those that are limited to GIMP for optimal image manipulation.
