Description Frederic Peters 2011-01-05 09:36:41 UTC
The shell-perf.gnome.org site is useful to track performance improvements in the Shell, unfortunately it has now been down for a few weeks.

shell-perf is down because we're in the process of rebuilding the VM that it was on and we've caught a snag. When I began the rebuild process I wasn't aware that it was running on that VM.

Until we can get the VM rebuilt (it is on my list today) it might be worth running it on a different machine. I'm not sure what software is required for its performance tracking, but updating DNS is simple enough..

Please let me know if you'd like to run it elsewhere--if it is more critical than can wait for the VM to come back online.

Recreated a configuration for shell-perf.gnome.org, put it in puppet, set it up on webapps.gnome.org, switched DNS for shell-perf.gnome.org to point to it.

The mysql database still existed so existing system registrations are still present, but all report data was lost.

(Not very relevant to have report data from a few months ago at this point.)
