GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 638548
Spelling and syntax mistakes in some UI strings
Last modified: 2011-01-06 22:31:19 UTC
Hi while translating I have encountered some spelling and syntax mistakes in some UI strings. I am currently collecting and will propose a patch. But meanwhile I would like to clarify the meaning of this: file: src/nact/nact-preferences.ui "This tab acts on some user preferences relatively to the configuration user interface." Are these preferences of the configuration user interface? "relatively" does not quite make any sense in the sentence.
Hi Christian, Thanks for having taken the time to fill up this bug report. Yes, I am afraid my english is very bad :( This sentence is the tooltip of the "UI Preferences" tab of the "Preferences" dialog box. In the tab, the user may choose what to do with labels when duplicating an item (relabeling it or not), and whether to accept the Esc key to quit an assistant. Would "This tab lets the user choose his own preferences for the Nautilus-Actions Configuration Tool user interface" be more correct ? Regards Pierre
Attaching first patch proposal. "This tab allows the user to choose custom preferences for the Nautilus-Actions Configuration Tool user interface" I believe this is also a change as it was meant to be identifiant -> identifier
