GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 638230
GtkSwitch states translation
Last modified: 2010-12-29 21:51:45 UTC
the GtkSwitch stateshave been indicated with two translator comments: #. Translators: if the "on" state label requires more than three #. * glyphs then use MEDIUM VERTICAL BAR (U+2759) as the text for #. * the state and #. Translators: if the "off" state label requires more than three #. * glyphs then use WHITE CIRCLE (U+25CB) as the text for the state which means that if the strings used for the "on" and "off" states are longer than 3 glyphs, they should be translated to "❙" and "○", respectively. thus, the translation for "on": msgctxt "switch" msgid "ON" msgstr "ENCENDIDO" and for "off": msgctxt "switch" msgid "OFF" msgstr "APAGADO" should either be removed, defaulting back to "ON" and "OFF", or should be translated to the UTF-8 glyphs above.
Thanks. Fixed in master. It would have been a bit easier if you have mentioned the module was GTK+. Closing the bug.
