Description Jeff Kowalczyk 2010-12-26 23:02:09 UTC
I am using Gentoo Linux ~amd64, and the gnome overlay (i.e. testing) recently added x11-libs/gtk+-2.23.3 and x11-libs/gtk+-2.91.7. I emerged (updated) from gtk+-2.22.1 to gtk+-2.23.3 and most inter-app clipboard functionality stopped working.

One example was firefox page content. Select text, optionally right-click, copy, then try to yank in Emacs, or a terminal editor e.g. nano, or OpenOffice writer, none of the paste operations work.

I downgraded to gtk+-2.22.1 and things were fine again.

Thanks.

hello world السلام عليكم

The above was pasted from a gtk-2.23.4 using testcase.
So if something is wrong here, it does not trivially reproduce on my system.

Hi, Matthias. I am having exactly the same problem with Jeff. I also have Gentoo Linux ~amd64, and the gnome overlay. There doesn't seem to be a download, yet for gtk-2.23.4, if it is fixed there.
