GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 637906
Don't ask again when sending to non-mail recipients
Last modified: 2011-01-05 16:42:55 UTC
Under Composer Preferences/General/Alerts there are a number of useful alerts that can be turned on or off but not the alert displayed when sending to an unqualified address. As far as I can tell it can't be disabled in gconf-editor either. It would be nice if this could be disabled for networks where the MTA takes care of unqualified addresses making the alert unnecessary in those cases. Thanks -- Ian
Please see my enhancement request 562926 filed 12/1/08. For those of use who do not have automatic address completion by the MTA, rather than an alert, completion with a default domain address, e.g. "@myinstitution.edu" would be much more useful. Clearly there are users who could use both of these enhancements--I hope the developers will consider adding both. Thanks, George Reeke
