Description Chris Wilson 2010-12-23 15:30:34 UTC
Originally reported at lp:605308 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/605308)

When a custom background is set in Nautilus and the screen is later split, the background is not rendered properly in the secondary window until the user clicks into it.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open nautilus
2. in options, make a background for nautilus, e.g. canvas (make sure you don't have the list view activated)
3. click "F3" to split your nautilus window
4. you see, the background image in the new window isn't shown correctly.
BUT: when you just CLICK INTO that new window, the background image is shown correctly and it finally looks smooth.

I believe it stems from Nautilus' highlighting of the deselected window.

Hi, backgrounds have been removed from nautilus 2.91.x, so this is obsolete now, see [1] and [2].
