GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 637784
Use white not green for "OK" state of typing-monitor
Last modified: 2011-03-04 00:47:49 UTC
This report was originally filled at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/662811 Note: All colors in this bug report refer to default Ambiance theme. I'm sure the colors change/reverse in other themes. The "you still have time left" or "OK" state of gnome-typing-monitor is green, turning to red when there is little time left. However, other indicators use white for 'nothing to see here', green for 'attention desired', and red for 'bad' states. I think white/nothing-to-see-here is closer to the meaning of the typing-monitor's "OK" state and should be used to avoid dilituing the use of green in other indicators. Especially, it's tough to quickly glance up at the indicator section now to see if I have a message since the green of the typing-indicator gives a momentary false-positive.
Obsolete on master.
