If I need to redirect the output of a command to gedit then the use of pipe symbol doest work.
eg:ls |gedit
I expect the list to be displayed in editor instead it opens a new window.

In forums I found that this was supported in previous versions,to be specific gedit 0.7.9 (June 11, 2000) supported this as per documentation

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
