when i log on as root and 'startx' the panel crashes at start.

>How-To-Repeat:
log on as root and startx....if i deleat ALL the . files except .bash* .cshrc and .tcshrc gnome will start. the next time i start gnome it crashes again.  must be something in the dot files for gnome that is causing this to happen....

Please try the latest (1.4.x) version of gnome-core and gnome-libs
from http://download.gnome.org/ Contact me if you need RPMS.
