I recieved this error while logging into root or any other user:
Application "panel" (process 2687) has crashed due to fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)

>How-To-Repeat:
This occurs while logging into Gnome at it happened when I logged on as a user and then as root.  I reset the Gnome desktop and it failed again.  Thank you for your assistance.  Le tme know if there is anything I can do to assist in diagnosing and fix the problem.

This system has ran Redhat Linux for a year with out trouble.
