Description Matthew Turnbull 2010-12-04 20:18:49 UTC
The Null Applet still depends on the old libpanelapplet-2.0 (bonobo) and is not optional. This makes it impractical to disable bonobo support in gnome-panel.

I've looked at the applet's source and it looks like it only uses GConf to actually do it's job. So I'm not sure why it's still a libpanelapplet-2.0 applet.

So I ask that one of the following happens to the Null Applet:
* Drop it and more gracefully handle missing applets in gnome-panel
* Make it optional at build time
* Port it to libpanelapplet-3.0
