Description Mark Van Peteghem 2010-12-02 11:01:08 UTC
Overview:

When using the option regexps=no in the configuration, compilation ends with errors.

Steps to Reproduce:

Run the command cscript configure.js iconv=no regexps=no
Set up environment to use MSVC from the command line.
Run the command nmake /f Makefile.msvc

Actual Results:

Many compile errors. The first is:
parser.c
..\include\libxml/schemasInternals.h(632) : error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'xmlRegexpPtr'

Expected Results:

No compile errors

Build Date & Platform:
4/11/2010 on Windows XP

Additional Information:

The option iconv=no is probably unrelated, but necessary on my PC.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
