Description Michael Gower 2010-12-01 20:11:31 UTC
Greetings,

In the GTK FAQ (http://live.gnome.org/GTK2-Perl/FrequentlyAskedQuestions#Are_there_Pre-built_Packages_available.3F) I came across three issues that need updating:

1) GIMP does not seem to ship with GTK anymore. I had to get the GTK+ Runtime Environment from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gladewin32/gtk-2.8.20-win32-1.exe.
2) The default location of the GTK /bin directory for this installer is C:\GTK\bin, or <INSTALL_PATH>\bin. This was added automatically to the path for this installer.
3) Installing the required PPDs with ActiveState perl 5.12 only required a `ppm install Bundle::Gnome2`.

Note that these updates seem small, but figuring this all out took me several hours that I wouldn't want anyone else to go through.

Yes, these look like sensible updates to the FAQ. But note that live.gnome.org is a wiki so that you can do these changes yourself.

That is a good idea. I've done the changes myself so I'll mark this as closed.

PS: the wiki doesn't show an edit link if you aren't logged in.
