Description Paul Sladen 2010-11-27 02:46:03 UTC
Forwarded: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gedit/+bug/646754

In Gedit:

 1. When editing a document,
 2. renaming the folder in which it resides,
 3. trying to save the document by clicking "Save" on the toolbar,
 4. getting an error saying the file cannot be found,
 5. saving the document at its new directory by choosing the "File" menu -> "Save as...", and
 6. then trying to close Gedit,

one still gets a warning that the document cannot be saved, and, gedit asks if I want to save the document.

 7. Clicking "Save",
 8. nothing happens (and Gedit doesn't close).

This leaves me with the option to cancel or to close without saving. If I want to close Gedit, I have to choose the latter (Close without saving). This is where the issue arises: I am forced to click on a button that communicates that the document has not/will not be saved, while it has indeed been saved perfectly in its new place.

> 6. then trying to close Gedit

gedit 3.15 closes fine now.
