Bug <a href="https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96239">96239</a> initially requested (in 2002) that <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller_Columns">Miller columns</a> be added nautilus.

I am filing this bug (suggestion) because Miller columns are of fundamental utility and ought to be available to more than just nautilus.

I chose the GtkTreeView component as it seems reasonable to extend it (but I'm new to gtk+ so please adjust as necessary).

nobody stepped forward to implement this, so lets close this for now. Feel free to reopen if you have a patch
