I wish to send email and type "mdiaz" in the TO: field.
Evolution provides "Diaz-Tello, Mike <mdiaz.tello@gmail.com>"
(I added the quotes.) When I use <tab> for the next field of the compose window, the details on the TO: line change in various fractured ways.  One example is "Mike, Diaz-Tello <m, diaz.tello@gmail.com>" (I added the quotes, again.) 

This fractured TO address is not valid and thus a send will fail.
Clearly there is some trouble between what is stored in the contact list, various compose settings, and what Evolution does to automatically fill-in names based on partially typed input.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
