Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2010-11-15 22:08:18 UTC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key

What was preventing us from having this feature before was lack of a general effect mechanism. Since the effects and basic compositing have been implemented now, we only need someone to implement a custom/special user interface for the "alpha" gstreamer element.

The alpha element is already added internally to all sources in the timeline.

Actually, you can already use the greenscreen/chroma key feature by using the "alpha" effect in the effects list. However:
- the user interface is horrible
- this doesn't let us set an arbitrary color to use as the chroma key (is there even a gstreamer plugin for that?)
