Originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/675270 Binary package hint: banshee Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 Since banshee was unable to reread an existing library, i delete whole config and tried to re-read the complete mp3 library with 14k files in it. Banshee crawls up to 189/14000 and stops then, now i have 189 files and all of them are 3 times in the library. Created attachment 174615 [details] Log of crash from Launchpad From the report on Launchpad, it sounds like this problem is now causing a crash. I'm attaching the debug log that was uploaded to Launchpad.
The debug log seems curiously incomplete. It sounds from the description that this is a hang so can the reporter please follow the instructions on www.banshee.fm/file-bugs to capture a trace. Could be a duplicate of: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=630537
Reporter says: I'm on 1.9.2 from maverick ppa, already produces dupes when importing new albums from amazon. Just renamed the banshee.db and started a new import from scratch. Result: 14500 files are seen by banshee, up to 8000 was readed then the job ends and wont import more by restart. Lots of music is missing in the banshee library, but still exist on the drive. If i import an album that is already on the disc but not in banshee i get (1) files. Shot the appended screenshot for you. Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
