GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 634932
Add remove/delete option in audiobook grid view
Last modified: 2020-03-17 08:55:34 UTC
This issue was originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/673987 Well, I remove files of audiobook. Then open Banshee 1.8.0, but this book still there (even after rescan library) and i don't see any way to delete it.
Did you "remove from Library", in which case I think this is a duplicate of: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=631254 If you used "delete from drive" then this is certainly a new bug. However you aren't clear. Can you provide a step by step guide to reproducing this so we might gain full understanding of what you are attempting. Also please reproduce this scenerio while running banshee-1 --debug --redirect-log and attach the resulting ~/.config/banshee-1/log file.
Hi, i was a reported at Launchpad. And i can't reproduce this. But i understood something. First of all, i'd delete files using Nautilus (and Banshee was closed when i did that). Here's how it was (when i reported): http://static.itmages.ru/i/10/1105/h_1288965000_c18163664f.png Here's how it is (when i try reproduce, now): http://static.itmages.ru/i/10/1121/h_1290311184_dc785e94e9.png And i can "remove from Library" through context menu. So, long button was to blame. I think may be necessary to add "remove from Library" to context menu in common view, i mean when you see covers of all your books? > https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=631254 Strange. I haven't this, i.e. i have “Expected result”. Bye.
There're some grammar mistakes, i forgot fix. Sorry, hope you'll understand me :)
If you do not have Banshee running and the Library Watcher enabled so that it will be notified of changes to the filesystem while you delete audiobooks, there is no way Banshee can know that they are gone without a rescan. However I think I understand your request better now and have renamed the bugreport for clarity. I concur that we could make this more obvious. Thank you.
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
