Description Brandon Philips 2010-11-12 21:53:05 UTC
1) Click on a track from a smb drive mounted via nautilus
2) Right click and select Delete from Drive
3) Error: Cannot delete a non-local resource: smb smb://hostname/music/Dir/Track.mp3

If I use nautilus, click on the track and press delete the file is removed as expected.

Also, it seems updating metadata of files in Banshee doesn't actually write to the samba share either. I would expect that to work also.

Let me know if I can provide more information.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
