GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 634722
Hangs when rendering with the UI, works when rendering from the command line
Last modified: 2013-10-04 21:17:00 UTC
Created attachment 174364 [details] debug logs My "Boston summit" timeline causes pitivi to hang at random places during rendering. This happens no matter what the resolution, no matter the codec (tried with ogg{theora+vorbis} and mkv{x264enc+aac}). Various logs/traces seem to indicate that gst is unable to create additional threads... but this doesn't seem to be a memory usage problem at first glance, since only ~300-600 MB of RAM are used by pitivi (out of 4 GB). I never go over 50% memory usage. However, the render works without any problems if you do it from the commandline: bin/pitivi --no-ui --render foo.mkv "Snowy hackfest and Boston Summit 2010.xptv"
